River Hongbao

Headed to river hongbao after work on Thurs...wanted to see see look look...but much to my disappointment, it was no different from last year, other than some extra drums and statues beside the fortune god...it's like pasar malam with some chinese performances...yup...tt's abt it...

i realise that pictures do make a difference...my blog is full of words, hence no one wants to read it...haha will try to post pics...but sometimes lazy to bring cam out...

Went to meet b's pals at turf city for dinner...at first, i thot it was the usual cny set meal for a certain no. of pax...but i was wrong...instead, they picked out the seafood and inform the waitress how we want to serve the dish...it was a cool experience as i am not a seafood lover (in terms of those crabs, lala etc) but in 1 night, i managed to try quite a bit of things...we had 2 fish ---> 1 soon hock and 1 stone fish...then had zebra mantis prawn, lala, crabs, bamboo clams and some other clam like stuff...think it was white clam...then had some veg fried with clam...my fave was the bamboo clams with garlic...yum...as well as the soon hock fried with black sauce!

btw thanks b for peeling the crabs for me...i am not a crab lover cos i find it really troublesome to peel the shell...and it's always a messy outcome...heh my family members are not crab lovers too...anyway one of his frens brought wine...so had some...

as for tmr, heading to my aunt's place...b's working so had to find some programme for myself...didn't wan to stay home...

anyway, something horrible happened in the evening today before dinner as well as after dinner...i hope things get better...
